Oṃ tryambakaṃ yajāmahe sugandhiṃ puṣṭivardhanam | urvārukamiva bandhanān mṛtyor mukṣīya māmṛtāt

The Maha Mrityunjaya — the great mantra over death — invokes Shiva as the three-eyed lord (Tryambaka) for healing, longevity, and liberation from fear. One of the most potent mantras in the Vedic tradition.

ॐ

This mantra does not deny mortality — it dissolves the fear that mortality produces. Chanted during illness, grief, or existential uncertainty, it restores contact with the part of awareness that was never in danger. That recognition itself is the healing.
