About This Practice
Apply a single drop of warm sesame (or food-grade anu taila) to the tip of the clean little finger, and gently anoint the inside of each nostril. Breathe through the nose three times.
Ashtanga Hridaya prescribes daily nasya as part of dinacharya because prana enters through the nose; oiling the passage steadies both breath and mind.
