About This Practice
A slow, short walk after lunch or dinner. Not exercise. Just movement that helps the meal settle and keeps the afternoon clear.
Ashtanga Hridayam names a short post-meal walk, shatapavali, as the simplest aid to digestion. The body was built to move gently after eating, not to collapse into a chair. Five minutes is enough to help the food move and the mind stay awake.

How to Practice
- Finish the meal. Do not start the next task right away.
- Walk at a slow, easy pace. Indoors or outdoors, both work.
- Keep the breath through the nose if it is easy.
- Do not check the phone. Let the eyes rest on what is around you.
