About This Practice
After a sharp moment — an argument, a bad message, a scare — you pause before re-entering. Three minutes so the heat drops before you speak again.
When the nervous system fires, the body needs a minute to come down. Re-entering the day too fast locks the spike in. This practice is a small return to the ground — breath, body, one honest word — before the next sentence.
ॐ
How to Practice
- Step away from the screen or the person for a moment.
- Feel cold water on the hands or the face. Or feel feet on the floor.
- Breathe out longer than in. Six rounds.
- Name what happened, in one honest sentence, to yourself.
- Re-enter only when the chest is softer than it was.
