Two minutes of watching the breath without changing it. You do not make the breath long or slow. You watch what is already happening.

Patanjali's sakshi bhava — the witness stance — begins here. Most breath practices ask you to do something. This one asks you to notice. Over time the noticing itself steadies the breath, without effort from you.

ॐ
  1. Sit comfortably. Close the eyes or soften the gaze.
  2. Find where you feel the breath most clearly — nose, chest, or belly.
  3. Watch it there. Do not change the length or the shape.
  4. When the mind leaves, return to the same spot. No commentary.
  5. Open the eyes after two minutes. Notice if anything in the chest has changed.
