"Today, I honor the labor that earned this."
The Sankalp
The money in my account today came from hours of work — mine, or others' — and I practice honoring it rather than moving it without thought.
Why This Matters
Artha-dharma teaches that money carries the karma of the labor that produced it. The Bhagavad Gītā's karma-yoga extension to wealth is śramena labdham — what is earned through effort. Growth sankalp is cultivation of a relationship to money that does not forget where it came from. This is foundational for both generosity and restraint; both flow from the same honoring.
