"I Carry Sorrow Into Devotion"

Daily Sankalp · Mitra v3.0 Stub · Beginner
The Sankalp

I bring even my grief to the feet of the divine.

Sharanagati is the act of complete surrender — not giving up, but placing what is too heavy for us alone into a larger holding. In bhakti, sorrow is not an obstacle to devotion; it becomes its very fuel. When we carry our pain honestly toward the sacred, we discover that nothing is outside the reach of grace.

✦
  1. When grief or sorrow arrives, do not hold it alone — carry it into prayer.
  2. Devotion does not require that you first be fine; it receives what is real.
  3. Sorrow offered becomes something different from sorrow held in isolation.
  • Comfort in difficulty
  • Connection to the Divine through vulnerability
  • Relief
