"I Hold The Role As Service"

Daily Sankalp · Mitra v3.0 Stub · Beginner
The Sankalp

I treat my role as a form of service, not a claim to status.

Karma-yoga sees every role — parent, leader, craftsman — as an opportunity to serve something larger than personal gain. Dharma reminds us that each role carries inherent duties that align us with cosmic order. Holding these together means showing up faithfully to what the role asks, not what we can extract from it.

✦
  1. Whatever role you hold today, hold it as an act of service — not as an identity.
  2. The role is borrowed; the quality of service within it is yours.
  3. When the role becomes service, the ego within it becomes quieter.
  • Freedom from ego in work
  • Dignity in role
  • Reduced self-importance
