Mitra v3.0 Stub
"I Name The Covering"
The Sankalp
I name what is obscuring my clear seeing today, so it loses some of its hold.
Why This Matters
Viveka is the capacity to distinguish between the real and the overlay, and the practice of Maya-bodha — recognizing illusion — begins with the honest acknowledgment that something is covering the view. The coverings can be self-flattery, old stories, grief, pride, or fear. Naming them does not dissolve them instantly, but it begins the process of seeing through rather than from within them.
✦
How to Live This Today
- Notice what is covering the clarity — boredom, resentment, comparison — and name it.
- The covering is not the self; seeing it is the beginning of lifting it.
- You cannot remove what you have not first acknowledged.
Benefits
- Self-awareness
- Clarity beneath the surface
- Inner honesty
