"Today, I return to one anchor."

Daily Sankalp · Spiritual Growth · Beginner
The Sankalp

I pick one truthful anchor — breath, name, image — and come back to it when the mind scatters.

Patanjali allows the practitioner to choose an anchor that is truthful for them. The point is not which anchor. The point is returning to the same one until the mind knows the way home.

✦
  1. Pick one anchor that feels honest to you.
  2. Return to it whenever the mind scatters today.
  3. Do not switch anchors midday.
  4. Let familiarity deepen the return.
  • Mind learns a reliable return
  • Less decision fatigue in practice
  • Depth through repetition
