"Today, I bless the body that carried me today."
The Sankalp
Through the meetings, the meal, the walk, the waiting — this body was present and working for me, and at the end of the day I turn toward it with thanks rather than critique.
Why This Matters
In bhakti traditions the body is temple (deha-devālaya) — the vessel that makes offering possible. The bhakta's evening relationship with the body is not diagnosis ('what went wrong today') but darshana ('what carried me through'). Joy-register body sankalp turns the end-of-day attention from audit to blessing. This is not spiritual bypass of medical need; it is the register of gratitude for a body that is, at this moment, sufficient.

How to Live This Today
- At day's end, pause before sleep and place a hand on the heart or belly.
- Silently thank the body for one specific thing it did — climbed stairs, held a long meeting, ate without complaint.
- Do not list what was hard; let the thanks be complete on its own.
- Enter sleep with that blessing carried.
Benefits
- Changes end-of-day body-relationship from critique to gratitude
- Reduces pre-sleep anxiety about body performance
- Builds durable body-positive interior over time
- Restores dignity to ordinary embodiment
