"Today, I delight in the senses that are alive."
The Sankalp
The taste of this tea, the light on the wall, the sound of morning outside — the senses are awake today and I let them be joy, not distraction.
Why This Matters
Upaniṣadic ānanda and bhakti rasa both trust the senses as devotional instruments, not only as temptation. When the body is well enough that the senses are alive and registering, that is itself a devotional condition. The Bhāgavata rasa-līlā tradition reclaims the senses as possible rāsa-ground when they are offered. Joy-register sankalp on a sense-alive day is: let the senses be thanks in motion.
