"Today, parenting itself is the practice."

The Sankalp

I do not wait for a quieter hour. The feeding, the waiting, the returning — that is my sadhana today.

The grihastha life is not the pause before practice. It is the practice. Manu names the householder as the root the other ashramas stand on. The hands that care for the child are the same hands that do the work.

✦
  1. Notice the urge to wait for a 'real' practice time.
  2. Treat the next act of care as the sadhana itself.
  3. Do it with attention, not speed.
  4. Return to this view when tiredness says otherwise.
  • Practice fits the parenting day
  • Less guilt about missed sittings
  • The role itself becomes the path
