"Tonight, I reduce input before sleep."

Daily Sankalp · Dinacharya · Beginner
The Sankalp

I lower what comes into my eyes and ears in the hour before bed so the mind can settle on its own.

The mind cannot settle while still being fed. Every extra feed, clip, or message in the last hour is something the sleeping mind has to digest. Less input in means more rest out.

✦
  1. Pick a screen-down time tonight.
  2. Keep the last hour for slow acts — wash, stretch, sit, read.
  3. Dim the lights in the room.
  4. Let the mind get bored. Boredom is the door to sleep.
  • Mind arrives at bed already slowing
  • Deeper sleep
  • Morning with a clearer head
