"Release The Day Before Sleep"

Daily Sankalp · Mitra v3.0 Stub · Beginner
The Sankalp

I consciously let the day go before I close my eyes tonight.

Tapas applied to endings means the disciplined work of not carrying unprocessed tension into the hours of rest. Tyaga — surrender or relinquishment — is the capacity to set down what has been and trust that it does not all need to be resolved tonight. Releasing the day is a practice of wholeness: it says the day was enough, and now it is done.

✦
  1. Before lying down, consciously set down the unresolved — it will wait for morning.
  2. Name what you are releasing: the conversation, the to-do, the worry.
  3. Sleep is not preparation for the next day; it is the closing of this one.
  • Restful sleep
  • Prevention of rumination
  • Fresh morning
