Durga Chamunda Mantra

Deity: Durga · Source: Śākta tradition · Beginner
ॐ ऐं ह्रीं क्लीं चामुण्डायै विच्चे
Transliteration

oṃ aiṃ hrīṃ klīṃ cāmuṇḍāyai vicce

This mantra invokes Ma Durga through three seed syllables — Aim (wisdom, Saraswati), Hreem (shakti, Mahalakshmi), and Kleem (divine attraction, Krishna) — in the combined form of Chamunda, her fierce aspect that destroys the ego's deepest obstacles.

ॐ

The three seed sounds are not descriptions of Durga — they are her three powers in vibratory form. Chanting them builds a protective field from within: wisdom to see clearly, strength to act, and the quality that draws what is aligned. Together they address fear at its root.
